Condition: Antique elephant folio bound in pebbled leather with gilt lettering to spine. Volume shows significant external wear, with heavy chipping and minor loss of material at ends of spines. Small tear is visible at bottom of front gutter. Outside corners show fraying. Book is solidly bound, with reinforced hinges. Unmarked pages are clean. Pages have gilt edges.

Description: This is a scarce edition of this antique atlas. Engraving depicting Native Americans on a cliff overlooking a valley with settler's cabin beside river and population center in the distance is quite striking. The maps show very well, with vibrant colors and fine detail.

Condition: Antique volume rebound in black cloth with gilt lettering along the spine. The volume contains hand-colored maps on pages numbered through 102, and is lacking maps numbered 1, 7 and ten, with an unnumbered map between pages 30 and 31. The volume contains numerous double-page maps, taking two numbers, and many inset maps, as well as engravings of people and places from around the world. This volume has been rebound in modern cloth-covered boards. The volume shows light external age/wear, with minor rubbing and bumping to the corners. The half title page with engraving is present, with heavy chipping and loss at edges. The title page is lacking, and the table of contents page is torn into two pieces. Several other pages throughout the volume are detached, with some chipping along edges that may be brittle.
