Condition/Details: With fourteen signatures bound with twine through three holes, this first edition is printed on light brown paper with black lettering and illustrations. Complete with mandala on the front wrapper, this volume is in excellent condition, exhibiting very light age/wear indications. This volume is the second section of Be Here Now written by Baba Ram Dass. Ram Dass, also known as "Baba Ram Dass," (born Richard Alpert, 1931), is a contemporary spiritual teacher. "He is well known for his personal and professional associations with Timothy Leary at Harvard University in the early 1960s. He is also known for his travels to India and his relationship with the Hindu guru Neem Karoli Baba, and for founding the charitable organizations Seva Foundation and Hanuman Foundation." Residents in the New Mexican ashram edited, illustrated, and laid out the text from Dass' manuscript. It is said that his prophetic prose poem was designed more as an experience than a book. The book measures approximately 11 1/2" x 11 1/2" and contains 108 pages.

Accompanying this volume is a two-sided vinyl record produced by Elektra records. The record features thirteen tracks, including poetry from Charles Causley and a track from Rev. Charles K. Mitchell, among several others.

Dimensions: Unframed measures 13 1/2" by 13 1/2"

Details/Condition: This piece features original pen and ink drawings by renowned artist Edwin J. Meeker. The three drawings portray the Stones River Cemetery, two featuring monuments and one portraying the cemetery with the railroad in the foreground. These drawings were later engraved for the Battles and Leaders of the Civil War, volume III. The work shows light external age/wear, with some age toning and rubbing to the paper, tears and creasing at the corners, and a two inch tear along the right edge of the paper, not affecting the drawings.

Some signatures are either detached, or have started to detach from the text block. This volume features many illustrations and maps, some of which are in color.
- Ericas in Southern Africa by Col. H. A. Baker and E. G. H. Oliver - Dated 1967 by Purnell - This volume is a limited "Collector's Edition," and is numbered as 390 of a limited 400 copies. The limitation page contains a bookplate which bears original signatures from the authors and artists. This volume features numerous full-page color plates and illustrations.
- A Garden Flora by L. Messel - Dated 1918 by Country Life - This volume features many illustrations.
- An Introduction to the Study of Grecian and Roman Geography by George Long - Dated 1829 by F. Carr and Co.
- Scenery, Science and Art by D. T. Ansted - Dated 1854 by John Van Voorst - The first few leaves are detached but present. There is a strip of black tape along the spine.
- Ocean Scenes, or the Perils and Beauties of the Deep by Unattributed - Dated 1856 by Leavitt and Allen - This volume is illustrated by many engravings.

Notes: Bound in tan cloth-covered boards with paper labels affixed to the spine, these limited-edition antique volumes contain a scarce collection of an account of Johnson's studies and works in chronological order, a series of correspondence and conversations with eminent people, and various original pieces of composition. The limitation page states that only 104 copies were printed, with each being numbered and signed. These volumes are numbered as 77. This lot includes volume 1-4 of The Life of Samuel Johnson, plus the additional volume Johnsonia by Robina Napier. This volume is also numbered as 77, in a series of 104 limited-edition copies. The work is illustrated with a frontispiece portrait in each volume. The volumes show mild external age/wear, and are solidly bound with clean, lightly age-toned pages. The books measure approximately 8" x 11".
