Condition/Details: Bound in cloth with unicorn stamped on the front board, this vintage volume provides a history of the 433rd Troop Carrier Group, New Guinea, during World War II. This volume includes full personnel rosters and hundreds of photographs of people and places. The volume shows external age/wear, with rubbing to the boards and extremities. The text block is solidly bound with clean, toned pages. The rear free endpaper is torn, lacking a strip along the top half. The book measures approximately 7 1/4" x 9 1/2" and contains 247 pages.

This shelf lot includes the group of books of Spanish history and literature shown in the corresponding image(s). This lot includes numerous Spanish-language volumes. The volumes in this lot are from the personal collection of Hispanist Daniel Eisenberg. Eisenberg was the founder, editor, and sometime typesetter of the Journal of Hispanic Philology (1976-1992), and editor of the journal, Cervantes, of the Cervantes Society of America (2000-2007). He is considered one of the most influential Hispanists in the United States today. This collection was used in writing the books Romances of Chivalry in the Spanish Golden Age (1982), A Study of Don Quixote (1985) and controversial studies such as “Unanswered Questions about Lorca’s Death” (1990), and “Lorca and Censorship: The Gay Artist Made Heterosexual” (1991).

Condition/Details: Bound in leather-covered boards, this antique volume provides an important history of the State of New York by county. According to the title page, it contains "a general collection of the most interesting facts, traditions, biographical sketches, anecdotes, &c., relating to its history and antiquities with geographical descriptions of every township in the state. Illustrated by 230 engravings." Illustrations include a fold-out color map of the state and several full-page illustrations. The volume shows external age/wear, with the front board and endpapers detached and the spine cover detached from the front board. The first signature of pages is also detached. The remaining portion of the text block remains bound, with age toned pages, with some marginalia and occasional spotting. Previous owner information inside of front board. The fold-out map has a tear along the left edge, measuring approximately 4 1/2". The book measures approximately 5 1/2" x 9" and contains 608 pages.

Condition/Details: Bound in quarter leather with blue cloth-covered boards, and featuring bright gilt lettering across the front board, this antique volume is a scarce collection of city, village and town maps, along with farm records, all pertaining to Ontario County in the state of New York. The work is illustrated with many large maps, most of which are double-page. The volume shows external age/wear with evidence of exposure to moisture on both boards. The leather spine exhibits chipping, and the corners of the boards are bumped. The boards are detached from the text block and remain in place via endpapers. The volume is bound with clean, lightly age-toned pages. All called-for illustrations and maps are present. There are extra maps of Border City and Phelps included inside the front board, both of which bear handwritten notes on their reverse. The road map of Ontario County is detached but present, and is in very good condition with only minor tears at some folds. Overall, the maps are in excellent condition and remain clean. The book measures approximately 18" x 20" and contains 104 pages.

Condition/Details: Bound in paper-covered boards featuring brightly-colored illustrations, this unique children's book is a scarce "Peepshow Book," which features an attractive three-dimensional telling of the famous Cinderella story in six scenes. These "Peepshow" books were manufactured to be opened so that the backs could be folded back together and tied, fanning out the scenes in a six-sided display. The inside is clean and in working order. The covers show little edge wear, the spine title remains, and the cloth ties are intact. There is some flaking of the spine cover. The book measures approximately 5 3/4" x 6 3/4" and is unpaginated.
