Title: Mark Right! Tales of Shooting & Fishing

Printing Year: 1936 Limited Edition, Author-Inscribed

Condition/Details: Decoratively bound in maroon cloth with a brightly colored illustration of birds on the front board, this antique volume is a limited edition printing of a classic hunting work, hand-numbered 580 of 1,250. This unique copy has an inscription and signature from the author, noted outdoor writer Nash Buckingham, on the front free endpaper. The handsome inscription reads: "To Frank R. Kelly- / In that / spirit of sportsmanship you / so ably defend. / From / Nash Buckingham / At home / Memphis." This inscription is to the champion American skeet shooter Frank R. Kelly, and is one of several volumes inscribed to Mr. Kelly throughout this catalog.

The work is illustrated with many black and white photographic plates. The volume shows light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with lightly age-toned pages. A light moisture indication is present along the top edge of several pages. The book measures approximately 6.25" x 9.25" and contains 250 pages.

Notes: Handsomely rebound in polished morocco leather with gilt rule, raised spine bands, spine labels and intricate gilt tooling, this extremely scarce complete set contains the poetry of William Wordsworth, published by noted British publisher and poet Edward Moxon and printed by Bradbury and Evans. Originally cited as being complete in six volumes, the work was eventually expanded to eight volumes. The work is illustrated with a frontispiece portrait in the first volume. These volumes were professionally rebound in fancy, early 20th century bindings, with Tout Binders listed on the front free endpapers. The volumes show mild external age/wear, with light rubbing along the extremities and light bumping to the corners. The volumes are solidly bound with lightly age-toned pages, featuring gilded top edges and marbled endpapers. A pencil notation is on the title page of volume one noting the discrepancy between the six called-for volumes and eight actual volumes. The books measure approximately 4.5" x 6.7.5".
