Premiums include an unused bridge tally book from Chesterfield cigarettes, four collectible dixie cup ice cream lids with pictures of movie stars, pocket almanacs from Piso Medicines, a figural Hellmann's mayonnaise cookbook mounted on a board for hanging, a miniature Popeye comic book from Quaker Oats; and a 1917 pay envelope from the Remington Arms Co. of Bridgeport, CT.

Also included is a Coca-Cola sponsored 1940s high school football program from Altoona and Cresson, PA; a gambling guide from Harold's Club in Reno, NV; a flyer for Atlantic City's Steel Pier featuring Rudy Vallee; a 921 :Collector-Dealer-Trader" stamp guide; a commercial parody of Gilbert & Sullivan's "HMS Pinafore;" and two 1936 programs from the Martin Bros. Details: There are over 200 very fine antique postcards in this lot, all of which have holiday or "thinking of you" themes. The majority celebrate Christmas, but there are significant numbers of cards for New Year's and Easter, and some for Thanksgiving, birthdays, Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day. These are nicely made cards with eye-catching graphics from about 1900 to 1915, with a few dating from the 1920s. Many of them are embellished with gold ink, sparkles, or embossing.

Also included in this lot are eight pocket coin saver cards from the Ithaca (NY) Savings Bank. Some have been used, but all are intact.

Details: There are hundreds of items in this large collection of vintage and antique photographs, which includes cabinet cards, a few CDVs, and many snapshots, plus a World War I-era album with pictures of doughboys. There are many school and class pictures dating from the first decades of the twentieth century; and some interesting stereocards, including a large-format one of an Adirondack disaster, another showing the big guns of the U.S.S. Iowa during the Spanish-American War, and a third with a bird-hunting scene. Military photos include a postcard from the 13th Armored Division in Germany during WWII, and a snapshot from an aid station. A 1928 photo shows a U.S. Navy ship, labeled a "rum cruiser;" another WWII-era snapshot shows women Marine Corps truck drivers. A 1940 publicity still of the clown Professor Chester "Bobo" Barnett and a sweet Victorian post-mortem photo of an infant are also included.

Also included is a large packet of black & white travel pictures mounted on cardboard and labeled. Some of these were taken in Israel shortly after the 1967 Six-Day War; others show scenes from France, Peru, and other places.

Details: Most of the item in this collection of miscellaneous vintage stamp collecting materials date from the 1940s through the 1980s. There are many loose stamps, both foreign and domestic, a boxful of empty glassine envelopes in many sizes, a pocket stamp, file, and a handbook.

Interesting non-philatelic materials include a priest's stole made out of hand-embroidered green silk, and a guide to ecclesiastical vestments. Two large thick pieces of Polaroid glass -- suitable for viewing a solar eclipse -- are still in their original felt pouches and packaging. Also included is a large collection of foreign currency. These bills are from all over: in addition to the usual European countries, China, Tunisia, Yugoslavia, Japan,Russia, and a handful of countries in Central and South America. Some of the money is antique, including bills for millions of marks from Germany in the in the 1920s.
