Condition/Details: Bound in cloth-backed paper-covered boards, this antique volume is a scarce work of children's literature with verses by Horace T. Barnaby. The book contains bright, crisp color frontispiece and plates, together with black-and-white in-text illustrations throughout, by noted illustrator Fern Bisel Peat. The volume shows external age/wear, with markings to portions of spine and front cover, and peeling to corners. Front hinge is cracked. Pages are clean and unmarked. Owner's name appears on rear endpaper. This unpaginated book measures approximately 9" x 11".

Title: The International Junior Postage Stamp Album

Condition/Details: Bound in cloth-backed with green boards, this antique volume is a scarce stamp album that "provides for a representative collection of the Postage Stamps of the World, including spaces for some 22, 000 varieties from the earliest issues up to the time of publication, with separate descriptions of the varieties ordinarily found in most collections and numerous blank spaces for such rare stamps as may be acquired" This album contains over 700 stamps. Of these roughly one hundred are pre-1930 U. S. stamps, with 28 dating back to from before 1900. There are a good quantity of stamps from Czechoslovakia (41), Danzig (36 -complete light-hinged air post (1920-23)), Guatemala (13), Jugoslavia (71) -Newfoundland (11), Palestine (16), Persia (14 -complete 1911-1914, light hinge to mint), Roumania (10), Spain (10), Switzerland (10), Ukraine (14 - 1920 complete). There is also a complete set of 1897 Turkish stamps from the "Offices in Thessaly" in mint condition. The volume is well preserved, with rubbing to corners and edges, and is solidly bound with age-toned pages. This unpaginated book measures approximately 9 1/2" x 11 1/2".
