As was a popular practice during the 1800s and early twentieth century, individual magazine issues were bound together in a single hard-cover volume. The compilations featured in this lot contain issues from Scribner's (late19th and early 20th century), Harper's (1880s-1890s), and The Cosmopolitan (1909-1910).

Condition / Notes: Antique volumes show varying degrees of external wear. Text blocks are intact. Pages are generally clean and unmarked, with bright illustrations.

Art Details: This is a limited edition sculpture featuring The Three Graces of beauty, charm and elegance. It is number 311 of 375. It is one of a collection of 18 pieces entitled "Erte: Image in Bronze." Erte signed his name in wax from which a stamp was made and approved. Each cast is stamped and numbered. This edition was published and distributed by Fine Art Acquisitions Ltd. of New York. The sculpture was cast using the lost-wax process at the Joel Meisner Foundry and at the Fine Art Acquisitions Ltd. foundry under the supervision of Joel Meisner Foundry. The Certificate of Authenticity is signed by the artist, the president of Fine Art Acquisitions Ltd. and Joel Meisner.
Condition / Notes: Sculpture is in excellent condition. The hanging tassel held by the middle figure has caused very light scratching to the figure to her right.

Kennedy. A box with information on JFK can be found at the top margin and one relating to Lee Harvey Oswald at the bottom. These and other boxes are interconnected through color coding and links. Pictorial background is made up of iconic figures and elements of conspiracy theories. Dated 1993.
