CONSIGNING
Put
National Book Auctions to work for you ...
Though
we work with consignments of all sizes, we excel in handling
large collections ranging from hundreds of books up to entire
libraries. Our researching and cataloging methods deliver
exceptional returns for collections by creating small, individual
lots from larger inventories. Collections of all sizes are
divided into themed lots containing one or several volumes
which are approachable for buyers of all scope. By creating
these very accessible auction catalogs, strong bidder interest
is created for all the items in
a collection. In addition, by offering collections in their
entirety, we are able to capture strong returns for the
more abundant items by allowing them to stand on the shoulders
of the high-value, headline pieces from the collection.
There is only one path to generating the maximum return
for a collection: by finding eager buyers for everything
in the collection.
No
collection is too big or too small and we can pick up anywhere
in the country within seven days. When you are ready to
sell, call us first and be sure to keep your collection
intact – avoid offers to break up groups or remove
high-value items, leaving behind a fragmented group with
severely limited market appeal. We would be pleased to discuss
your collection with you when you are ready to sell and
want to make an informed decision before committing to a
course of action.
No
other auction service provides what National Book Auctions
will. We handle entire collections and are on the
cutting-edge of technology from the moment the material
is on our hands. National Book Auctions is a product of
this new technology and utilizes the Internet to its greatest
advantage — marketing to a global bidding pool.
We
have created a simple form which will provide us with some
preparatory information, to open a conversation about your
material. Please complete this form with as much as detail
as is available and click “Send Email.” You
may also want to email us supporting files (mail@nationalbookauctions.com)
which contain information pertinent to your material.

"Our
experience with National Book Auctions was exceptional.
The process couldn't have gone more smoothly.
When the final tally and check arrived, we were
astonished with the results! We look forward
to giving National Book Auctions our future
business."

"National
Book Auctions has been an invaluable asset to
the Buffalo-Erie Library System. Their professionalism,
knowledge and efficiency is very impressive
and we were more than delighted after receiving
the first check for the books we consigned.
The quality of their research and cataloging
is unprecedented and we're confident that this
attributed to the high return. I would recommend
them to any library or other organization and
we plan to use their services again."

Stanton Hudson, Buffalo-Erie Library System
"David
Hall of National Book Auctions was wonderful
to work with. His extensive knowledge of printed
material was instrumental in the success of
our auction. We were extremely pleased with
the outcome and we couldn't have done it without
you."
- Joan C. Curtiss, Boyce Thompson Institute,
Cornell University
"David
Hall was a tremendous help to our family as we
went through the arduous task of liquidating my
94-year-old mother-in-law’s estate. David
was kind enough to come to our home within 24
hours so that he could meet with our siblings
who were in from out of town for only a weekend.
Dave was reassuring, professional and incredibly
knowledgeable about our books, art and other artifacts.
I called David first as he is a member of the
Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce. I highly
recommend the services of National Book Auctions.
Many thanks to Dave and his hard working staff.
They made a painful task for our family so much
easier.
- Mary and Alex Rachun, Tompkins County residents
"If you have a book or group of books to
sell, these are the people to see. We were very
pleased and would recommend National Book Auctions
to anyone."
- M. Vaughn, family estate
"National
Book Auctions was a wonderful find for our residential
living/learning community library. We were able
to fill our shelves with quality books for students'
use at a very affordable price. I would recommend
them for any individual or organization interested
in purchasing single collectible books or shelf-lots
of sorted high caliber books."
