Details/Condition: Luxuriously bound in its original jade cloth boards with ½ leather binding and gilt embossing, this rare folio text is a tastefully rendered facsimile copy of Waghenaer’s original work. Lucas Lanszoon Waghenaer (1534 - 1598), was a Dutch pilot who revolutionized map-making by mass producing high quality charts and navigational notes in 1583. |
